Description	In this talk, we will show some recent results about the limit problem of the principal eigenvalue for some second elliptic and parabolic operators in one dimensional space when the advection coefficient converges to infinity. It has some applications to the existence and stability of solutions of single equations and systems. This is a joint work with Shuang Liu, Yuan Lou and Rui Peng.
