On rationality of blocks of finite group algebras. Kessar, Radha
Description
The talk revolves around the following question: given a finite dimensional algebra, what is the smallest ring of coefficients over which the algebra is defined In general, this is a rather intractable issue but one can say quite a lot in the case of blocks of modular group algebras. I will give an introduction to the question, describe its relevance to modular representation theory, and present some answers.
