I will present a moduli space of "logarithmic R-maps" (joint work with
Q. Chen and Y. Ruan), which together with its virtual cycles are the
key ingredient toward an approach to proving many "mirror" conjectures
about higher genus Gromov-Witten invariants of quintic threefolds
(joint work with S. Guo and Y. Ruan).
