Description
I use Dave Gabai's 4D light bulb theorem to prove an analogous statement in the setting of concordance: if two spheres $R$, $R'$ in a 4-manifold $X$ are homotopic and $R$ admits a dual sphere, then $R$ and $R'$ are concordant (modulo a condition on 2-torsion in the fundamental group of $X$).
