I shall discuss recent work with Andrew Swann that proposes a framework for studying exceptional holonomy manifolds with torus symmetry, much similar to the study of hyperkaehler manifolds with a tri-Hamiltonian action of a torus. The talk is mainly based on the preprints arXiv:1803.06646 and 1810.12962.
