Description	In recent work with KrupiÅ ski, we showed that strong type spaces can be seen (in a strong sense) as quotients of compact Polish groups, and as a consequence. I will give a brief account of the argument, as well as describe some applications, such as showing that a non-definable analytic subgroup of a type-definable group has index continuum (and in particular, that an analytic subgroup cannot have countably infinite index).
