Processing of EDX tomography data Binev, Peter
Description
The procedure consists of several steps: analysis of the combined spectrum of all the data; identification and extraction of the concentration of the main elements for each of the frames; aligning of the frames; and tomographic reconstruction of each of the main elements. The analysis includes calculation of local centre of mass displacements, decomposition of the combined spectrum into a sum of gaussians, and discrete filtering for extraction of elements concentration. The alignment procedure estimates the frame displacements using the centres of mass of several element maps. The tomography reconstruction uses a generalization of TV regularization employing total variation term of order two. This is a joint work with Kelsey Larkin (University of South Carolina), Zineb Saghi (CEA-LETI, Grenoble), and Toby Sanders (Arizona State University).
