The total variation Wasserstein gradient flow Poon, Clarice
Description
In this talk, we present a study of the JKO scheme for the total variation functional. In particular, we present a characterization of the optimizers and some of their qualitative properties (a sort of maximum principle and the regularity of level sets). Furthermore, in dimension one, we shall discuss the convergence as the time step goes to zero to a solution of a fourth-order nonlinear evolution equation. This is joint work with Guillaume Carlier.
