From sparse interpolation to digital filters Briani, Matteo
Description
In sparse polynomial interpolation, we can improve the conditioning of the problem by splitting the overall problem into several subproblems of smaller sizes. In this talk, we extend this idea to a more general scenario where the exponents are not necessarily discrete. We investigate the size-reduction strategy for this setting, which also leads us to a specific case of digital filters. This is joint work with Annie Cuyt and Wen-shin Lee (Antwerp)
