Long time solutions for finite bottom gravity waves Tataru, Daniel
Description
I will provide an overview of recent work, joint with Benjamin Harrop-Griffiths and Mihaela Ifrim, concerning enhanced lifespan bounds for small data gravity waves in the presence of a flat bottom. This work is based on two key ideas, (i) the use of holomorphic coordinates, and (ii) our modified energy method, a quasilinear alternative to normal forms.
