Pentagrams, inscribed polygons, and Prym varieties Izosimov, Anton
Description
The pentagram map was introduced by Richard Schwartz in 1992, and is now one of the most renowned discrete integrable systems which has deep connections with many different subjects such as projective geometry, integrable PDEs, and cluster algebras. In this talk I will explain how the pentagram map interacts with polygons inscribed or circumscribed about conic sections.
