Exact µ-bases for Rational Tensor Product Surfaces Liyong, Shen
Description
We investigate conditions under which the resultant of a µ-basis for a rational tensor product
surface is the implicit equation of the surface without any extraneous factors. We provide
algorithms for computing such special µ-bases without computing the base points explicitly,
and we show how these exceptional µ-bases are related to the number of base points counting
multiplicity of the corresponding surfaces.
