Description	Ms. Nemiroff’s curatorial work has made a lasting impact on the Canadian art landscape, in her role as director of Carleton University Art Gallery, and as senior curator at the National Gallery of Canada (NGC) for over twenty years. Some of her most recognized exhibitions include the ground-breaking Land, Spirit, Power: First Nations at the National Gallery of Canada (1992); Crossings / Traversées (1998); and Melvin Charney and Kzrysztof Wodiczko (1986) for the 42nd Venice Biennale. Ms. Nemiroff was instrumental in the acquisition of works by Indigenous artists and women artists at the NGC. She has won prizes such as the Janet Braide Memorial Award for contributions to Canadian art history (2012), and a Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts (2012). Her book Women at the Helm (2021) was a non-fiction finalist at the Ottawa Book Awards.
